7 Days in Entebbe traces the events Air France Flight 139 in 1976 when it was hijacked by four members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The flight is then diverted to Uganda's Entebbe airport where the passengers and crew were held hostage. The scene then moves to Israel’s Ministry of Defence where planners hatch a plan to dispatch a rescue force 4,000 km undetected deep in hostile Ugandan territory.
7 Days in Entebbe is directed by José Padilha (Elite Squad & Narcos) and based on most daring and audacious rescue mission in modern military history where failure could be a catastrophic blow a nation.
7 Days in Entebbe opens in cinemas on 22 March 2018.
