The brand new series of My Kitchen Rules 4 not only promises more fabulous cook-offs and creative instant restaurants deco, the pressure in this competition gets more exciting with a special twist!

About My Kitchen Rules
An Australian competitive cooking game show known for its unique concept – not only do the contestants need to cook up a storm to impress the judges, but they are tasked to transform an ordinary home into an instant restaurant complete with theme and table decorations for one ‘pressure-cooker’ night!

‘My Kitchen Rules’ airs Mondays to Wednesdays @ 9.50pm on DIVA Universal (Starhub Ch522)

In this brand new season of the Australian competitive cooking game, things spice up a little differently with unexpected twists and uninvited guests such as the ‘gate-crashers’ team. Watch teams of food nerds, hipsters and former beauty queens display their chops to come up tops in this reality series that will leave you hungry for more.

In previous seasons, there were initially two rounds of instant restaurant with six teams each, wherein the lowest scoring team of each group was eliminated immediately from the competition. However, after the second round, the tally of the instant restaurant scores for both groups were combined and the three lowest scorers out of the remaining ten teams competed in another instant restaurant round, this is where the ‘gate-crashing’ teams come in and give the initial teams a run for their money!

Review of “My Kitchen Rules 4”

The one an a half hour show will make any food lovers crave for more with each team creating their own 3-course dinner for a group of 10-12 people, including judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel. It’s a little different from the other food shows as the contestants were instructed to create their own instant restaurant, and set their own menu that they think can win the hearts (and stomachs) of the others.

I will never reject watching a food show, be it a celebrated chef cook-off or watching amateur cooks vying for a coveted apron. What really drives a food show to be so successful is essentially the food served. In My Kitchen Rules 4, the judges don’t get much of the attention as much as the contestants where the latter also have more freedom to really whip up anything and everything they like onto their serving plates.

While you don’t really get to learn or steal cooking tips like other food shows, this series let out the bitches in the competition who don’t necessarily bother about hurting people with their nasty remarks.

Well, you get to watch ordinary people cooking at the comfort of their home, the underlying stares among contestants and of course, the ever-enticing food. My Kitchen Rules 4 is one you'll get hooked on!
