Now there’s a style you don’t see every day! Head-turning stunt entertains Singaporeans to mark the launch weekend of high-octane racing movie Need for Speed.

Four wind-swept figures roamed the streets of Singapore yesterday, drawing much attention from pedestrians and Saturday shoppers, to mark the opening weekend of Buena Vista International’s new action movie Need for Speed.

Two males and females have been expertly dressed and made up to give them the appearance of people who had been moving so fast, it was as if they had been running in the face of a hurricane. To explain this strange experience, the line “I’ve just seen Need For Speed” was written in large print on their backs. You can see the detailed treatment in creating the 'fast' experience - from earrings to their shoelaces!

“It was really cool,” said one observer, June Wee, aged 19. “People couldn’t stop staring”.

Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, DreamWorks Pictures’ Need for Speed captures the thrills of the game in a real-world setting.
