Sounds like a fun adventure? The blogger of ‘The William Brown Project’ tells us what it takes to be the host of a show like 'Alternate Route' - from driving a vintage 1987 Porsche to eating hotdogs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

InCinemas: From frog hunting to eating all kinds hot dogs, what do you enjoy most being a host of ‘Alternate Route’?

Matthew Hranek: I love the opportunity to travel to all these great places and meet these terrific characters.

InC: On that note, what is the most challenging aspect of being a lifestyle host on a show like Alternate Route?

MH: The non-stop travel can be exhausting at times, but the excitement of the latest adventure really energizes me.

InC: What are some of the most memorable moments you experienced on the show?

MH: Moments like driving the race car in Nashville, eating hotdogs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I once had a near death experience on the boat off Montauk, and of course, I loved all the cars and now own the Porsche 911!

InC: You get to explore many different places and try a variety of food in America. Is there one thing or one type of food you will not do or try?

MH: I will not eat dogs but would entertain the idea of eating a cat.

InC: Do you think being a photojournalist allows you to see things in a different perspective?

MH: Photography often gives you special access to all these worlds – you have to look at all this stuff with fresh eyes and new perspectives.

InC: They say behind every photo is a story, so how would you frame your shot to best describe the life of Matt Hranek?

MH: I don’t know if that exists in one shot. It is probably a photo essay or video that would have a lot of imagery of airports, taxi’s, security lines, meals on the run, lots of cocktails and of course, wonderful locations – some exotic and some not.
