Meryl Streep Rocking Out in 'Ricki and the Flash'. New Poster and Trailer!

There's nothing queen Meryl Streep can't do. Dress her up as the frontwoman of a rock band and she nails it. In the first trailer for Sony's Ricki and the Flash, Streep plays a guitar-wielding rocker mother who comes home to reconnect with her family.

Apart from the umpteen Oscar-winning/nominated actress headlining the film, Ricki and the Flash sees a great number of talented creatives behind the camera. Academy Award-winning director Jonathan Demme will helm the film with 'Juno' screenwriter Diablo Cody penning it. Marc Platt, the movie producer behind the Broadway hit
Wicked, and Mason Novick, who produced Cody’s Juno and Young Adult, are
producing.
The cast also includes Kevin Kline as Ricki's ex-husband, Rick Springfield as the band member and real-life daughter Mamie Gummer as her onscreen daughter.
