Here's the very first teaser trailer for the The Divergent Series: Allegiant, giving us a sneak peek at the penultimate chapter.
"It's time we fight back".
In the first minute or so, the trailer recaps Tris' (Shailene Woodley) journey since the first film and then we are given a glimpse of what's going to happen in 'Allegiant'. Tris, Four (Theo James) are on the run, escaping beyond the walls of post-apocalyptic Chicago to discover the truth of the faction system and its governance.
Based on author Veronica Roth’s New York Times best-seller, Allegiant is being split into two parts; but instead of assigning numbers 'Part 1' and 'Part 2', it will now be called 'Allegiant' and 'Ascendant'.
Directed by Robert Schwentke, the third instalment of the action adventure franchise stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort. Jeff Daniels joins the cast in the last two films.
'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' is slated to open InCinemas on 17 March 2016, and The Divergent Series: Ascendant is set to release in March 2017.
