Check out our list below for the 7 films you definitely shouldn't miss this December!
And oh, Merry Christmas!

2. A Yellow Bird
Opens 8 Dec
Looking for something more gritty? K. Rajagopal’s debut feature discusses serious topics that are very relevant to today’s Singapore such as racial discrimination, immigration, and prostitution. Be proud that it was screened on Critics’ Week at Cannes Film Festival.
3. La La Land
Opens 8 Dec
If the pairing of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone is not enough to convince you to watch this musical drama, consider that this feel-good movie was written and directed by Oscar-nominated director Damien Chazelle, who directed Whiplash last year. This is not a chick flick. It's a film about the struggle to success and what success truly means.
4. Sing
Opens 8 Dec
The ideal movie for families. Sing is the movie you can bring your little ones to, where animals from the same universe as The Secret Life Of Pets participate in a singing competition. What’s more, star-studded cast with amazing voices like Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Reese Witherspoon, Tori Kelly is bound to give you eargasms!

5. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Opens 15 Dec
It’s a must-watch for Star Wars fans. For anyone else, it would be a great action blockbuster to enjoy. You might not be able to appreciate the references and mythos as much as the fans. But being set before Star Wars: A New Hope and featuring brand new characters, understanding the film should not require much background information.
(Don't miss the 8.1m-tall AT-ACT at VivoCity!)
6. Assassin’s Creed
Opens 22 Dec
Yet another movie based on video games, Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, a descendant of Aguilar de Nerha, an Assassin in 15th century Spain. This action-adventure film challenges you to a leap of faith.
7. Passengers
Opens 22 Dec
Because Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt!? The cast is enough reason to catch Passengers, but sci-fi movies about the outer space never fail to keep us on the edge of our seats (and perhaps gasping for air), does it?
Which of these films are you most excited to catch? Did we miss any of your favourites? Shout out in the comments below!
