It’s official! Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams and Split breakout star Anya Taylor-Joy are confirmed to join the X-Men universe for Josh Boone‘s spinoff movie 'New Mutants'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the superhero picture gets the greenlight, with Williams taking on the role as Wolfsbane, a Scottish mutant who transforms into a wolf-human hybrid; and Taylor-Joy as Magik, a Russian mutant (and younger sister to Colossus) with the power of teleportation. Production is set to begin in July.
James McAvoy‘s Professor Charles Xavier is also expected to appear in the film, but his appearance is not a confirmed move from Fox.
New Mutants is set to release on 13 April 2018!
