6 Movies to Look Out For This July!
By InCinemas / 29 Jun 2017 (Thursday)
Summer is the season of blockbusters and this year has been particularly generous to us with its slate of thrilling big-budget action films including Guardians Of The Galaxy: VOL. 2, Wonder Woman, Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Salazar's Revenge and much more. The good news is things don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. This July is jam-packed with an even more impressive lineup of blockbusters as well as other smaller but no less exciting movies. InCinemas has picked out six notable ones for you to indulge in!
Spider-Man: Homecoming - 6 July
To say that the addition of Spider-man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is highly anticipated is an understatement. While some still question the need for a third cinematic version of the web-slinging superhero within the past 15 years, the hype for this movie is real, especially after his short but certainly impressive debut in last year's Captain America: Civil War.
Make sure to catch Spidey in action when the movie opens InCinemas on 06 July!
Baby Driver - 20 July
In an era of endless reboots and franchises, an original script like 'Baby Driver' is such a breath of fresh air. Initial reviews have nothing but praises for this stylish heist movie starring Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey, so you know that you're in for a good time!
'Baby Driver' opens InCinemas 20 July.
Dunkirk - 20 July
After 'Interstellar' and the short film 'Quay', film auteur Christopher Nolan is back with another ambitious project: 'Dunkirk' - a war epic about the Dunkirk evacuation. World War II is no brand new topic in movies, but if Nolan's previous films are anything to go by, his own take on the event will be nothing but unique and thought-provoking.
'Dunkirk' opens InCinemas 20 July.
Atomic Blonde - 27 July
Yet another movie with a war setting - the Cold War - 'Atomic Blonde' stars Charlize Theron as an undercover MI6 agent sent to Berlin to investigate the murder of a fellow agent. If Charlize Theron being a badass and taking down men twice her size in high heels isn't enough of a reason for you to watch this film, we don't know what is.
'Atomic Blonde' opens InCinemas 27 July.
The Beguiled - 27 July
'The Beguiled' pits a soldier (Colin Farrell) against a group of young women from a girls' boarding school in an unpredictable drama-thriller. Featuring a star-studded cast including Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Colin Farrell, and Elle Fanning, the film earned director Sofia Coppola the 'Best Director' award at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
'The Beguiled' opens InCinemas 27 July.
The Big Sick - 27 July
If you are one of those already suffering from blockbuster fatigue after so many releases this year, 'The Big Sick' is the remedy you're looking for. Light-hearted, humorous and full of love, the romantic comedy will give you the much-needed break from all the fast-paced actions and explosions dominating the big screen right now.
'The Big Sick' opens InCinemas 27 July.
