It’s a wrap for Captain Marvel!

Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson took to Twitter to share a photo of the final slate and a countdown calendar for the upcoming Marvel movie. The official production began in March, along with stars Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, Jude Law and Ben Mendelsohn.

This means that it’s only a matter of time until the first trailer drops, though this would mean months later before we catch a glimpse of any footage on the character. Let’s hope Marvel will release some photos in the meantime.

The clapperboard looks to be signed by the cast and crew of ‘Captain Marvel’, which we have to admit, best memento ever! Behind it, we see the markings of ‘Last day’ and ‘Home’ on the 7th of July.

Captain Marvel will be Marvel Studios’ first film focused on a female lead superhero, after Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was Marvel’s first female co-lead with Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp.

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel is slated to be released in March 2019!
