Renowned Taiwanese writer-director Giddens Ko (九 把刀) of the campus blockbusters You Are The Apple Of My Eye (2011) and Mon Mon Mon Monsters (2017) will be in Singapore on 26 October to conduct a masterclass.
The masterclass is part of Scream Asia, which is Singapore's first and only film festivals dedicated to horror and genre films.
Besides the masterclass, Scream Asia 2019 will also feature selected horror film screenings at The Cathay Cineplex. A line-up of Hollywood horror classics has been specially curated for horror movie fans to enjoy on the big screen, especially for those who were born after the 1990s and might have missed these great films.
One of which is the Director’s cut of The Exorcist, starring Linda Blair as the demon-possessed girl with the infamous head-spinning scene.
The Exorcist became the first horror film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1973 and has remained one of the highest-grossing films in history with a $441 million box office takings.
