Highlights from the film panels at DC FanDome

By Rachelle  /  23 Aug 2020 (Sunday)

DC FanDome, the 24-hour virtual fan event has concluded its film panels and boy oh boy was there a whole truckload of content that was unloaded!

From all the upcoming films you've heard of (Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, Zack Snyder's Justice League) to the sequels that were mentioned (The Suicide Squad, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2), there's a little something for them all.

If you haven't caught up with the releases, we've compiled them all here in one list to make it easier on you.

First up was the Wonder Woman 1984 panel where director Patty Jenkins along with the cast Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal unveiled a brand new trailer but this time, we get a first look at the film's villain, Cheetah!

The Flash followed soon after though the film had much lesser to reveal. As the film is still in very early stages of production, we only got to see some concept art. Check them out here

James Gunn and his Suicide Squad brought on the noise and hype when they shared a roll call video that revealed each actors' characters in the film. There's also an exclusive behind-the-scenes teaser that you definitely don't want to miss!

Much like The Flash, the Black Adam film is also still in very early production stages so it should be expected that they would not have much to share but star of the film, Black Adam himself, Dwayne Johnson brought his A-game and presented a teaser that comprised of him narrating over some stunning visuals that were done in collaboration with one of the most famous fan artists around, Bosslogic.

It was also teased that Black Adam could be going head to head with Hawkman and Doctor Fate!

The Shazam! panel did the most with the least when they joked around for most of their time slot only to drop a very important mesage at the end - the title for their upcoming sequel! Yes, it's official. The sequel to Shazam! will be Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

And last but definitely not least, The Batman. It's only fair that the most anticipated film in the DC universe slate was kept for last. It was a long and torturous wait but it was well worth it! We finally get more than just a glimpse of Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader in this new teaser and may we just say, it's just the right amount of dark and gritty we love to see in a Batman film.

Did we miss out anything? Which DC film are you most looking forward to seeing now? Let us know in the comments below.
