The PUMA FAAS Beats Final Showdown concluded on a high note last night with the crowning of the Ultimate FAAS Beats Gamer, Natalie Koh, at Zouk. Koh emerged as the champion of the online musical rhythm-based game created by PUMA to launch the new range of the Spring/Summer 2012 FAAS shoes collection.
With a high score of 12, 527 points, the 18-year-old walked away with an exclusive autographed T-shirt by Olympian and Puma ambassador, Usain Bolt, S$1000 worth of PUMA vouchers as well as a PUMA FAAS watch.
“I am really glad to win the challenge. It was nerve-wrecking watching the other contenders play the game initially but I know I have to keep a cool mind in order to excel. When I was playing the PUMA FAAS Beats during the final showdown, I just told myself to give it the best shot and just minutes later, I was crowned the winner! I am really happy”, enthused Koh.
The Festival opened with the PUMA FAAS Dance crew reigning the club with sleek and swift hip-hop and popping dances moves that started the energy pumping. Local singing sensation, Nathan Hartono, also serenaded the audience with an acoustic version of Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, and an original composition named Weight of Her Love. Hartono was appointed as the Opinion Leader (Music) to first introduce the PUMA FAAS Beats game in Singapore when the campaign was launched in February.
Different game stations located at parts of Zouk boosted the carnival atmosphere of the Festival. Party-goers were engaged in speed-related activities like the Puma Speed Trap, where participants tried beating the best timing clocked for a 30m dash. Some other social games like the Toy catcher machines and Kinect games also saw exciting participations from the party-goers. Celebrities Ian Fang and Adeline Lim also joined the public in rounds of Kinect games.

“The massive turnout at this year’s FAAS campaign is amazing. We are extremely pleased to be holding an event that resonates with the public, especially the youths, and we will continue to bring about better experiences to our consumers”, said Ms Sheryl Wong, General Manager, PUMA Singapore.
One of the highlights of the festival was the PUMA’s Spring/Summer 2012 FAAS collection choreographed fashion show. The show opened with professional models dancing on the runway while showcasing some of the latest FAAS collection. Home-grown supermodel, Sheila Sim, alongside local celebrities including Romeo Tan, Yuan Shuai, Zhang Zhen Huan, Rebecca Tan and Pamelyn Chee strut the FAAS runway to showcase the versatility of this season’s apparels and shoes.
