Jack Neo and his boys from Ah Boys To Men were at South West Community Development Council on Thursday to witness the launch of a new range of green fashionable accessories - The WEworkz CAMOU Range. Check out some of the designs available after the jump!

“Upcycled” from decommissioned Army uniforms for the first time, these exclusive accessories, are produced by the Women Enterprise Workz (WEworkz), a social programme under the South West Community Development Council (CDC) to provide training and employment opportunities for women, especially those who prefer home-based employment or want to earn a supplementary income.
The decommissioned uniforms are contributed by the Ministry of Defence and hand/machine-sewn by the women from WEworkz into fashionable and functional bags. From tote bags to clutches, the decommissioned uniforms will be given a new life with every piece of product telling a story of its own in our nation-building history.

About WEworkz
Started in 2008, the women under WEworkz have made and sold many products and created a distinctive branding and following for its green products. To date, more than 23,000 bags and accessories made from recyclable banners have been sold. The CAMOU Range further build on the sustainable business model of WEworkz, tapping on existing community resources to provide up-skilling and employment opportunities for the women. Through these efforts the South West CDC hopes to raise more awareness of the work that these women are doing and reach out to women who have sewing skills but are unable to commit to full time employment as well as do our part for the environment.

Decommissioned Army uniforms to be "enlisted for service", creating employment opportunities for Back-to-Work Women and Homemakers!

(Guess what they're saying when they make this pose?)
