In collaboration with Walt Disney Studios Singapore and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), four
Disney’s Cinderella
-inspired dresses were created in conjunction with the release of the live-action movie which opens InCinemas this Thursday, 12 March 2015.
All four beautiful gowns are designed by NAFA student, Erica Devi Handika and mentored by the Vice Dean of NAFA Fashion Studies Programmes, Anthony Tan.
During the fashion show which took place at 313@Somerset last Saturday, Erica shared that she took inspiration from the movie’s three iconic characters: Cinderella, Fairy Godmother and the Wicked Stepmother, to which she added new design elements to bring out the essence of these characters in the dresses.
In addition, in line with the SG50 celebrations in Singapore, an exclusive SG50 Cinderella inspired version of the dress adds highlight to this collaboration. On the dress, you can see images of the iconic Marina Bay Sands and other local landmarks.
