In conjunction with the release of Disney’s Cinderella in Singapore on 12th March, Walt Disney Studios Singapore minted a collaboration with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and Swarovski Singapore to produce 4 pieces of Disney’s Cinderella Inspired Dresses.

Locally produced on home ground, these dresses are designed by NAFA student, Erica Devi Handika; mentored by the Vice Dean of NAFA Fashion Studies Programmes, Anthony Tan.

The 4 pieces of Disney’s Cinderella Inspired Dresses are namely:
  • Cinderella Inspired Dress
  • SG50 | Cinderella Inspired Dress
  • Wicked Stepmother Inspired Dress
  • Fairy Godmother Inspired Dress

Both Erica and Anthony will also make an appearance on stage to talk about their design inspirations. Shoppers can vote for their favourite Disney’s Cinderella Inspired Dress and stand a chance to win exclusive Disney’s Cinderella premium hampers!
 
These Disney’s Cinderella Inspired dresses will be on display at 313@Somerset atrium from 8th to 14th March, followed by Kallang Wave Mall atrium from 15th to 29th March.

Fairy Godmother Inspired Dress

The NAFA designer took inspiration from the movie’s three iconic characters - Cinderella, Fairy Godmother and Wicked Stepmother – and added new design elements which results in these spectacular dresses. In line with the SG50 celebrations here in Singapore, an exclusive SG50 | Cinderella inspired version of the dress adds highlight to this collaboration.

As seen in the movie, Swarovski created the dazzling bespoke glass slippers in solid crystal and embellished key costumes with over 1.7 million crystals. In Singapore, the crystal house also sponsored over 2000 crystals to the NAFA designer, which were intricately hand-sewn onto the dresses.
 


In partnership with SMRT Ltd., the Disney’s Cinderella Inspired Dresses and the glass slipper will on display at Kallang Wave Mall atrium from 15th to 29th March.

Besides the dresses’ and glass slipper display, shoppers can also participate in fun-filled activities at the atrium, including Cinderella themed art & crafts and Disney’s Princess makeover.

In support of International Women’s Day in March, three of the NAFA-created dresses, together with the movie-inspired crystal glass slipper –will be put up on IMOBshop.sg for an online bidding to raise funds for charity.
