The new trailer for 'Batwoman' is out!



It's been 3 years since Batman disappeared without a trace, giving criminals free rein over Gotham City. The Gotham City Police Department are no match for the criminal gangs. 

Enter Kate Kane, played by Ruby Rose.

The cousin of Bruce Wayne, Kane decides to don the role of cape crusader, but not before making a few costume adjustments of her own ("When it fits a woman."). So with the help of Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), son of Lucius Fox, the pair embark on launching Gotham's new cape crusader.

Meanwhile, Kate's own father, Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott), the CEO of Crows Private Security, has been hired to deal with the escalating crime in Gotham. Naturally, Jacob disapproves of Batman's vigilantism. Imagine how he'd react when he learns that his own daughter has now taken up the mantle.

What's exciting about the new Batwoman series is the fact that Kate Kane, the leading protagonist, is lesbian. And the actress playing her, Ruby Rose, has come out as a gender-fluid lesbian. This is a milestone in the history of LGBT representation in popular culture.
