The 89th Academy Award was certainly an eventful one, to say the least. The shocking ending was something, of course, but there were other memorable moments as well (which we cover here).

We would not pretend that we forgot the Oscar predictions that we did a while ago. How did we fare?

We made predictions for 14 categories, stating who could possibly win, should win, and will win. To be fair, let's only consider our 'Will Win' picks. The correct predictions will be bolded for easier inspection.

Not too bad! Oscar can be unpredictable, and we got more than half of our predictions correct. When we both agree on who will win, most of the time they do (8 times, to be exact). The exceptions are our predictions of 'La La Land' to win Original Screenplay and Best Picture. We know we are not the only ones thinking that 'La La Land' would win the top prize, since it won 6 awards for the night.
