Oscar-Nominated actress Jessica Chastain is said to be in talks to star as Shi’ar Empress Lilandra, the villain in the upcoming X-Men movie instalment - ‘Dark Phoenix’ - directed by Simon Kinberg.

Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Sophie Turner, and Nicholas Hoult are all be returning to the franchise. The franchise will focus on the young mutant Jean Grey, played by Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.

Chastain was most recently seen in “The Zookeeper’s Wife” and the political drama “Miss Sloane”. Her next big screen role will be Aaron Sorkin’s “Molly’s Game” as the successful operator of a high-stakes, international poker game.


X-Men: Dark Phoenix is slated to release InCinemas in November 2018.
