There are just too many films and TV series to keep up with on Netflix. So we thought we should throw light on some films that have perhaps been buried in the Netflix heap and that deserves to be more widely seen. In our first piece, we recommended 3 films by American indie filmmaker Noah Baumbach. Now, in our second piece, we turn the spotlight to three documentaries.

1. Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World



Famous German filmmaker Werner Herzog presents a history of the Internet, starting with its birth in 1969, and ponders the joys and sorrows of its social influence.

2. Tokyo Idols



Girl bands and their pop music permeate every moment of Japanese life. Following an aspiring pop singer and her fans, Tokyo Idols explores a cultural phenomenon driven by an obsession with young female sexuality and the growing disconnect between men and women in Japan's hyper-modern society. 

3. Indie Game: The Movie



Indie Game: The Movie is about the struggles of independent game developers Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes during the development of Super Meat Boy, Phil Fish during the development of Fez, and also Jonathan Blow, who reflects on the success of Braid.
