Pip Andersen & Crystal Clarke

Lucasfilm has just announced that they have cast Pip Andersen and Crystal Clarke in Star Wars Episode VII.

The pair were picked from 67,000 hopefuls at open auditions last November, including 30,000 who submitted applications online for coveted roles of Rachel, an ambitious 17-year-old street smart orphan and Thomas, a smart teenager who 'understands you can't take life too seriously'.

23-year-old Pip Andersen is skilled at parkour and had previously showcased his agility skills in a Spider-Man ad, while Clarke will soon star in her first feature film 'The Moon and the Sun'.

Meanwhile, filming for JJ Abrams sequel Episode VII plans a two-week hiatus in August as 71-year-old veteran actor Harrison Ford recovers from a recent broken leg injury.
