The upcoming sequels to James Cameron Avatar will all be shot in New Zealand, yes, all three sequels, back to back!

The first sequel is slated to release in December 2016, with the second to follow in December 2017 and the third a year later. Production for the sequel is expected to start next year with returning cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Stephen Lang.
