Several days ago was the Cannes world premiere of Quentin Tarantino's 9th film - 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'.

It comes 25 years after Tarantino premiered his masterpiece 'Pulp Fiction' at Cannes, where it won the Palme d'Or.

After the screening, the film received a 6-minute standing ovation. 



The film has received good reviews. 

The Guardian described it as "shocking, gripping, dazzlingly shot" while the Hollywood Reporter "a disarming and characteristically subversive love letter to its inspiration, in which Tarantino rebuilds the Dream Factory as it existed during the time of his childhood, while rewriting the traumatic episode often identified as the end of that era.​"

A few days, the trailer has also been released.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, a washed-out Western TV show actor. Together with his stunt double Cliff, played by Brad Pitt, they embark on an adventure to make a name for themselves in the film industry.

Featuring heavily in the film is the Manson murders. Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate, the late wife of director Roman Polanski, who was murdered by the followers of cult leader Charles Manson.

There is also a hilarious and memorable moment of Bruce Lee, played by Korean actor and martial artist Mike Moh, that we are all looking forward to seeing.

'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' will release in Singapore on 15 August.
