Fresh off its theatrical run last year, La Luna — a co-production between Singapore and Malaysia — is slated for a global release on Netflix on 9 February!

La Luna is set in a small village called Kampong Bras Basah that is stirred up from its drowsy repose with the arrival of a lingerie shop called La Luna. While the villagers slowly begin welcoming the shop with open arms, the iron-fisted leader of the kampong is hell-bent on driving the shop out of town at all costs. The film was filmed entirely in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, Perak, Malaysia. 

Helmed by up-and-coming Singaporean director M. Raihan Halim, the film stars a stellar cast which includes Sharifah Amani (Sepet, Muallaf), Shaheizy Sam (Malbatt: Misi Bakara), Wan Hanafi Su (Apprentice), Namron (Crossroads: One Two Jaga), Hisyam Hamid (Revenge of the Pontianak), Nadiya Nisaa (Sa Balik Baju), Farah Ahmad (Frontliner), and Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin (The Assistant), alongside rising teen actors Syumaila Salihin (Mentega Terbang) and Wafiy Ilhan (Warkah). 



Shaheizy Sam, who plays policeman and single father Salihin, said:

Sharifah Amani, who plays the modern-minded and outgoing Hanie, shared:
