The much-awaited Netflix original series starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (ASOUE) makes its debut on a pretty apt day, Friday the 13th! 

Well, not like anything could possibly go wrong with launching a highly-anticipated series on what is considered to be a universal unlucky day, but this making-of video may prove otherwise. 

 

The promo trailer clip features key ‘unfortunate’ elements in Asian culture, such as sticking chopsticks upright in your rice and opening an umbrella indoors. While the promotional clip looked ominously beautiful, the crew working on the video may not be so ‘lucky’ after all.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.
