Two of Hollywood's biggest stars are set to star in a remake of
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
!
Will Smith and Kevin Hart will both star and produce in a new version of the 80s classic comedy film which originally starred two of the biggest comedic actors of the era, Steve Martin and John Candy. Both Smith and Hart are Hollywood's A-listers in their own right with a ton of credits to their names. They have also similarly carved careers, starting with more comedic roles and later morphing into franchise pictures.
Smith's last film credit is
Bad Boys for Life
which was released in cinemas earlier this year while Hart was last seen in
Jumanji: The Next Level
which came out last year.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
follows the story of two disparate men that have to join forces to find some way to get home for Thanksgiving. One of the men is a bit of an uptight a-hole that is uncomfortable with his new travel buddy, a more easy-going, jovial shower curtain-ring salesman. As you might imagine from that pairing, hilarity most definitely ensues. The original film is one of the legendary films from writer-director John Hughes (
The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Home Alone
).
