In last week’s premiere, Korean reality programme Youn’s Kitchen S2 showed how members Yoon Yeo-jung, Lee Seo-jin, Jung Yoo-mi and Park Seo-joon prepare for the restaurant’s opening. It also introduced the spectacular views and romantic ambience of Garachico on the Tenerife Island, Spain.
 
In the first episode, newly joined and much loved intern Park Seo-joon fully engaged himself into the restaurant’s daily operation and offered great support to his seniors. He has also demonstrated his multi-talents from cleaning, cooking to receiving customers, while his fluent Spanish and charming appearance managed to capture the heart of female customers. Meanwhile, the first group of customers, who helped with recruiting diners, will give honest critics on the food and reveal their true identity in the upcoming episode.
 
 
In hopes of driving more diners, CEO Yoon Yeo-jung along with the other three members will develop a new dish: Japchae, a colorful and savory dish of stir-fried glass noodles in mixed vegetables, is created to fit diners’ palate. In addition, the ambitious director Lee Seo-jin is greatly adored by customers for his dimpled smiles and generous services. In season 2, the siblinglike sweet and hilarious interactions between assistant chef Jung Yoo-mi and intern Park Seo-joon also attract keen attention from the audience.
 
 
The second episode of Youn’s Kitchen S2, broadcasted in Korea earlier, recorded an average viewership of 14.8% and a peak of 18.2%, which not only outperformed its first season’s highest ratings, championing all variety shows ever aired on tvN in Korea, but also ranked no. 1 among all shows in Korean during the same timeslot (including pay TV, free-to-air TV and IPTV). Noteworthy, the impressive rating reminds audience of Lee Seo-jin’s pre-broadcast promise that if the show’s rating reaches 15%, the production team will film Season 3 directly. Moving forward, it seems that the promise is very likely to be fulfilled in near future!
