The Queen of C-Pop Returns!

Local songbird Stefanie Sun 孫燕姿 returns to the music industry after a near 2-year hiatus. She took a break back in 2011 to focus on her pregnancy and yesterday marks her official return to the scene as she joins music group Universal Music.

She signed the contract in 6-star luxury hotel Capella Singapore, the same place where she wed dutch boyfriend Nadim Van Der Ros 2 years ago. While the terms of the contract are kept under wraps, Sun said that she was happy to join this big family, “I feel that sincerity is the most important factor and I am really excited to be back.”

Mother of 10-month-old son said that her passion still lies with music and motherhood won’t be stopping her. “Being a singer and mother are part of my lifetime goals and with him (Sun’s son) around, it becomes more meaningful,” she said.

Fans of Sun can expect an album to drop at the end of this year and a world tour is also scheduled for the singer in 2014.
