About Paddy Considine
Paddy Considine found success as an actor first in films such as A Room for Romeo Brass (1999), Last Resort (2000), In America (2002), and in particular, Dead Man’s Shoes (2004). Later, he did memorable supporting turns in more mainstream pictures such as Cinderella Man (2005), Hot Fuzz (2007) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). It was only in 2011 that Considine tried his hand in directing with Tyrannosaur. When asked about why he switched from acting to directing, he responded by criticising the low-budget British film which was all about “getting a hand-held camera, swinging it around, improvising…”, and that this technique has been so widely bastardised that he just wanted to make a movie on his own.
