07 Oct 2013 (Monday)
The annual signature Halloween event, Sentosa Spooktacular sets to bring visitors into popular scenes from Thai horror movies like
Shutter, Coming Soon, Body, Dorm

Pee Mak
.
InCinemas sent our daredevils over to a media set visit and a peek behind-the-scenes before the trails open next week and here's what you can expect at this horror fest.

(Find out more about purchasing details at the official website!)
For the first-time ever, Sentosa partners with renowned Thai movie production studios, GMM Tai Hub Co, Ltd (GTH) to bring five of its scary horror films to live at the Fort Siloso this October!
Jimmy Wong, Events Director, Sentosa Leisure Management Pte Ltd, cited, “GTH is one of Thailand’s most renowned Thai horror movie studios. Their movie productions have set new records at the box-offices in Thailand and in greater Asia. With their expertise in realistic and scary-looking prop production, we are confident that Sentosa Spooktacular 2013 will bring more excitement and thrills to visitors."
Wong was right when it came to the 'scary-looking prop production'. Fans of these horror films will find themselves inside familiar movie settings, with blood-curling screams and side-splitting laughter.
When asked about the selection process to replicate specific scenes from the movie, Paween Purijitpanya, director and screenwriter for
Body
said, "We picked those scenes that are the climax of the film, and scenes that people are familiar with."
For the '
gang-ho
' ones, or those who seek to impress their dates, these Thai directors recommend you to walk the '
Coming Soon
' trail as it's no doubt, the scariest among the five. "The fear-factor increases as you walk the trail and if you intend to give up halfway, the
Chabas
will be following you home!" Parkpoopm Wongpoom, director of
Shutter
joked.
Take a first look at Shutter
The
Shutter
trail sees visitors walking through a dark, gloomy trail where hundreds of photograph stills set the atmosphere. With luminous red lights acting as your only source of guidance, there's definitely no turning back. Even without scare-talents on site then, we could feel the chills and creepiness of this
Shutter
trail.
Work-in-progress Body
After walking through the
Shutter
trail, we were brought into the work-in-progress
Body
trail where the directors led the way and conducted a show-and-tell of the sights. With larger props and more intricate designs used, expect this
Body
trail to be a hot-favourite!
Wow-ed by Pee Mak
It was no doubt that the
Pee Mak
trail took our breath away with the largest prop at Sentosa Spooktacular, a Chaba that measures 10 metres in height!
Can't wait to walk these trails? Purchase your tickets before it's sold out!
