By InCinemas  /  13 Dec 2013 (Friday)

The highly anticipated 2014 Golden Globe Awards nominees were announced not too long ago and here are some films you definitely have to catch!

The Golden Globe Awards used to be an indication to an Oscar nod, but sometimes, it doesn't work that way. While there are films that definitely will be (somehow you just know) in the list of the upcoming Academy Award nomination list, there are a certain films that leave us scratching our heads...

Hot favourite and leading nomination films like Gravity, American Hustle and 12 Years A Slave are definitely ones to look out for!

(Read the full list of the 2014 Golden Globe nominations here!)

12 Years A Slave

Movies to look out for at the Golden Globes:

Best Animated Feature Film
'Let It Go' (Idina Menzel) - Best Original Song (Motion Picture)

Disney's Frozen is a hit at the box office, 'freezing out' films like The Huger Games: Catching Fire! Lots of rave reviews on the animation and definitely one that people are rooting for.

Paul Greengrass - Best Director
Tom Hanks - Best Performance By An Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama

Based on a true story of the 2009 hijacking of the U.S. container ship Maersk Alabama by a crew of Somali pirates. Captain Phillips was, from the start, a contender in the awards list.
