3 Local Movies to be Showcased In Selected Beijing Universities!

Singapore’s production and film distribution company, mm2 Entertainment signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China’s Twenty-­‐First Century Campus Cinema Line (TCCCL) to showcase three noteworthy Singapore Chinese movies at selected Beijing Universities.

The three selected films, produced by mm2 Entertainment that will be making its rounds in Beijing universities are Ah Boys to Men (2012),  Ah Boys to Men 2 (2013) and That Girl in Pinafore (2013). These films are selected for their box-office performances, strong word-of-mouth, and vibrant and positive portrayal of youths.

TCCCL and mm2 Entertainment believe that the films will be well received in the universities and help foster closer cultural exchange between the two countries.

The films will tour five Beijing universities, namely Tsinghua University, Peking University, North China Electric Power University, Beijing International Studies University, Renmin University of China and Beijing Normal University.

Screenings will begin in late March and run for four months. Continuing the MOU, both TCCCL and mm2, together with other partners, will explore bringing more Singapore films to universities in China. Screenings will be extended to Shanghai and other provinces based on the responses of the screenings conducted in Beijing.
