The X-citing X-perience in Singapore!

Three cast of Bryan Singer’s
X-Men: Days Of Future Past
Hugh Jackman, Fan Bingbing and Peter Dinklage were in Singapore to grace the Southeast Asia premiere of the superhero movie.
(Movie details/trailers & reviews of the movie here!)
During their two days stay here in our little island, the stars not only graced the red carpet, welcomed by thousands of fans who flocked to catch a glimpse of these international celebrities, they were packed with media interviews and gala appearances.
Did we also mention that Mr Wolverine managed to squeeze in some time to check out Singapore’s favourite local breakfast fix; kaya toast! The actor posted a photo on his Instagram, and told reporters how he loved it and bought a few bottles of kaya for his children!
(More photos from the blue carpet here!)
And his charm doesn’t stop there! At the blue carpet, he stopped to sign autographs and pose for selfies with fans who waited since 1pm! Though the first star among the three to walk the blue carpet, Jackman paused to interact with the fans so often he was the last to finish walking the blue carpet.
Having played the role of Wolverine for 14 years, he admitted that Days of Future Past was one that he enjoyed a lot. “It is not only the biggest, the most exciting and visually thrilling, it is the most emotional and character-driven of all.”
“The thing that X-men works for me is the story, the vulnerability of the characters,” he continued.
There’s an iconic (or shall we say eye candy) scene in
X-Men: Days of Future Past
of Jackman’s sexy back view. When asked if he did extra physical exercises like push-ups or bench-press before that scene, co-star Dinklage admitted to be his body-double, inciting laughter from the crowd.
“For those of you who have seen that scene, yes there were a few squats then… for me, it takes a long time to get into shape. For a scene like that, it is like picking (a date) for a marathon.”
Chinese actress Fan Bingbing plays teleportation mutant Blink in the upcoming blockbuster. Though the role was initially written for a caucasian, Fan was casted right after 20mins with a session with director Bryan Singer.
The highlight of the press conference had to go to Wolverine; not Hugh Jackman, but Wolverine. A reporter requested to ‘talk to Wolverine’. Jackman quickly slipped into character, taunting the reporter for a fight backstage.
Is there any wonder why this Australian actor is so well-loved by many?
