Blackie Chen: Christine Fan was drunk on wedding night

Taiwanese host Blackie Chen finally wedded singer Christine Fan, his girlfriend of 10 years, on May 7.

The 34-year-old told the media that they collected a total of NT$4 million (S$170,000) worth of red packets, and claimed that they did not manage to get intimate on their wedding night because his wife was drunk and had passed out from the celebrations.

The couple reportedly handed out 400 invitations, welcoming about 700 guests on their wedding night.

They spent more than NT$3.5 million (S$150,000) on the wedding banquet, venue, security, and door gifts. After deducting the NT$4 million cash gifts they had received, the couple still made a profit of NT$500,000 (S$20,000).

Blackie and Christine also managed to save some money, because items such as the couple's wedding planner, flowers, hair and makeup were sponsored.

According to Blackie, Christine was so happy and excited that she drank too much and had gotten herself drunk after the first hour. She was then carried into their bridal suite, leaving him to entertain the guests alone until 3am, when the banquet ended.

When asked about their babies-making plan, Blackie cried out loud, "This is private!"

The host later added that, "Our parents are not pressurising us, so we plan to go with the flow, and leave it to God's will."

On May 8, the newlyweds celebrated Mothers' Day as a married couple with both their parents and grandparents.
