Mr Kiasu and Liang Xi Mei movies in 2018

Iconic Singapore characters, Mr Kiasu and Liang Xi Mei will have their own feature movies in 2018.


At Asia TV Forum & Market, mm2 Asia has announced that iconic Singapore characters, Mr Kiasu and Liang Xi Mei will have their own feature films in 2018.
 

Auditions for Mr Kiasu, an iconic character created by Johnny Lau in the 1990s has started. Production for Mr Kiasu The Movie to start in Q2 2018 with an expected release in Q4 the same year.
 

Liang Xi Mei, Jack Neo's other famous cross-dressing role during his long-running comedy variety show, Comedy Night, is finally heading for the big screen 18 years after Liang Po Po: The Movie was released in cinemas in 1999. Cast includes Mark Lee, Henry Thia and Wang Lei from Happy Can Already. Liang Xi Mei is expected to gate crash your Chinese New Year in 2018.
