"Zombiepura" Commences Principal Photography in Jan 2018

Clover Films, in partnership with mm2 Entertainment (a wholly owned subsidiary of mm2 Asia Ltd) and JAB Films are pleased to announce that principal photography of local zombie comedy, Zombiepura, will commence in January 2018.
Directed by Jacen Tan, starring Alaric (Forever Fever, The Noose) and Benjamin Heng (Eating Air), Zombiepura is about a zombie outbreak in an isolated army camp, where a lazy reservist soldier (Alaric) and his tough commander (Benjamin Heng) have to fight together to survive, and learn what it means to be real soldiers.

Named “Singapore’s latest film funnyman” by The Straits Times, Life!, Jacen Tan is one of Singapore’s most exciting young filmmakers. In the pre-YouTube days, Jacen’s short comedies, Tak Giu (Kick Ball), Zo Peng (Go Army), Zo Gang (Go Work) and Zo Hee (Make Movie) were viral hits on the Internet. Popularising local slang words and culture, Jacen stands out as a filmmaker who has embraced the Singaporean identity by touching on topics close to the hearts of people.
Mr. Lim Teck, Managing Director of Clover Films expresses his anticipation, "We are excited to be co-producing this movie together with mm2 Entertainment and the passionate trio of Jacen, Benjamin and Alaric! The genre and story background of zombies in an army camp is very fun and we believe Jacen will deliver a great movie!"

We liked the concept, but more importantly, we were highly impressed by the drive and enthusiasm of the producing and creative team. We're therefore most pleased that it has finally taken off and the creative vision of this young and talented team will soon be realised.”

Mr. Alaric, producer at JAB Films adds, “Being zombie fans, JAB was first established to tackle this uniquely Singaporean zombie movie. We are very delighted to finally go into production with mm2 and Clover Films as our partners.”
Zombiepura has been awarded the New Talent Feature Grant by the Singapore Film Commission in 2016, and is slated to be released in Q3 of 2018. Interested parties can follow mm2’s and Clover’s Facebook pages for updates on Zombiepura.
