The teaser poster for the highly anticipated action adventure film, "The Hunger Games" is finally here!

THE HUNGER GAMES stars Jennifer Lawrence -- Academy Award® nominated actress from last year’s “Winter’s Bone” -- as Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old living in impoverished District 12, in a post-apocalyptic world, where she survives day-to-day by illegally hunting alongside lifelong best friend Gale Hawthorn (Liam Hemsworth).

Katniss is forced to fight in a nationally televised deadly tournament which is all part of a twisted and corrupt government tactic. Thrust into the dangerous and politically charged Capitol, she finds an unlikely ally in Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), a baker’s son with a secretive connection to her past. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

THE HUNGER GAMES, slated to release in Singapore 23 March 2012, also stars Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz. The film is directed by Gary Ross.
