The trailer for 'Avengers: Endgame' has dropped!
And we are stoked!
'Endgame' will be the fourth and final chapter of the Avengers saga, following 2012's 'The Avengers' and 2015's 'Age of Ultron', and last year's 'Infinity War'.
It is directed once again by the Russo Brothers who have previously directed 'Infinity War' as well as 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Captain America: Civil War'.
We are not entirely sure if the Avengers who have been wiped out in 'Infinity War' will appear in 'Endgame', but from the trailer, we can be sure that Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) will appear in 'Endgame'.
What's also striking is that the Avengers seem to be wearing a new suit a la X-Men. Rather than a new fashion statement, the suits appear to resemble Ant-Man's suit, suggesting the possibility that the Avengers might venture into the Quantum Realm (perhaps to search for their missing comrades?).
It's also clear that Iron Man and Nebula will be rescued from deep space as they can be seen sauntering down the hangar with their fellow Avengers.
The Schindler's List-inspired black-and-white with dashes of red flashbacks of Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man strongly confirms what everyone already suspects - 'Endgame' will be the swan song for three of the most popular MCU heroes.
There's probably a lot more from the trailer to unpack and all of us have so many unanswered questions (such as 'Where is Goose the Cat?', 'Will there be a potential romance between Black Widow and Hawkeye?', 'Where is Thanos?').
Unless you're Jimmy Kimmel who managed to hook up Mark Ruffalo to a lie detector to try to get answers, you have to wait until the movie comes out.
