“Honey I Shrunk the Kids” is getting a Reboot

After nearly 30 years, we are getting a “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” reboot.
In the 1989 original film, scientist dad (Rick Moranis) accidentally shrinks his kids and the next door neighbour’s children to little ant-sized people. The four kids embark on a wild adventure (even though it really just is their home’s backyard), battling massive insects and oversized obstacles.
According to Slash Film, the project will be titled Shrunk, and feature Josh Gad in the lead role. With a star attached and a theatrical release strategy in mind, the studio is apparently now looking for a director that doubles as a fan of the original franchise to move the feature from concept into reality.
