Disney/Pixar's Luca finds its release date

Pixar Animations Studios newest original film, Disney/Pixar's Luca has a release date! The film has officially taken over the June 18, 2021 slot previously flagged for an “Untitled Pixar Animation” title. It is Pixar’s 24th animated feature.

Luca is in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera. The original animated feature is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the water’s surface.

The animated film will be directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (La Luna) and is coming to cinemas on June 17, 2021.
