Julianne Moore rounds out the cast of the Dear Evan Hansen movie

Oscar winner Julianne Moore has officially joined the cast of the Dear Evan Hansen movie! She will be taking on the role of Heidi Hansen, the mother to the titular character.

The Stephen Chbosky-helmed movie will see Ben Platt reprise his Tony-winning performance as Evan Hansen. The film will also feature Amy Adams (Vice) as Cynthia Murphy, Danny Pino (Law and Order: SVU), Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart), Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give) as Alana Beck, Colton Ryan (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen and Girl From the North Country), and Nik Dodani (Atypical).


Rachel Bay Jones who originated the role as Evan's mother, Heidi Hansen, also won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.​
