Eva Longoria to direct and star in Sony Pictures' ‘Spa Day’

Eva Longoria is set to star and direct Spa Day, a female ensemble action comedy film at Sony Pictures.

Plot details about Spa Day are being kept under wraps as the film is currently in development.

Longoria, known for starring in shows such as The Young and the Restless and Desperate Housewives. She currently has two other films lined up as director at Searchlight and Universal. She will be helming the empowering biopic, Flamin’ Hot, about the janitor who transformed the Cheetos brand by introducing a spicy version of the snack at its corporate owner. At Universal, she will direct a reimagined version of 9 to 5, titled 24/7.
