The upcoming Spider-Man sequel will feature Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to reprise his role as the caped superhero Doctor Strange in Sony and Marvel's upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom Holland is set to return as Peter Parker with Jon Watts returning to direct.

Cumberbatch will reportedly shoot Spider-Man 3 first before jumping into a sequel of his own, Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which Sam Raimi will be directing.

Plot details are under wraps but it reportedly has the idea to have Cumberbatch step into the role Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark had as a mentor to Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
