Next Friday 11 November marks a special date this year: 11-11-11. Couples who are getting hitched on this memorable date may probably feel that it is easy to remember and it makes the occasion a little more meaningful for themselves. Taiwanese singer Jay Chou (周杰倫) is using 11-11-11 as the release date for his 11th album which comes with 11 songs! There's also a short trailer too! There are also claims that your wish will come true if you do it on this particular date and at the exact time 11:11:11am. Number 11 must be the hot number this month!

[Q&A with Director Darren Lynn Bousman]
Do you know that the director of 11-11-11 is Darren Lynn Bousman, who had also directed SAW II, III and IV? And based on its notes, below is a short Q&A session with Darren. Enjoy and get to know about his movie 11-11-11.
Q: 11-11-11 sounds like a VERY scary concept. Could you elaborate on it?
Darren: It is a scary concept!!! It’s based on a phenomenon where millions of people all over the world witness the numbers 11:11 in their life... At first, I was resistant to the idea of doing a movie based on a number... But after sitting with the concept - I too started to notice how the number 11 was important in my life... However, this is not just a movie about a number - like, lets say, the Number 23... This is about something much darker, and more horrific... The number is just a launching off point... Where it takes us is what the movie is truly about... a DATE... and what is going to happen on that DATE.
Q: You are also the scriptwriter of 11-11-11. How did you research the 11-11-11 phenomenon?
Darren: By almost losing my mind... I joke, but only partly... Before I began I went online and started researching the phenomenon... At first, it started out harmless, just research... But next thing I knew I was down the rabbit hole… and far, FAR down... I was reading conspiracy theories, religious prophecies, etc... My world became very dark... Not because I believed everything I was reading, but because I knew OTHER people believed what I was reading... And to me, that is scary. Some of things I was researching seemed so far out there, so... crazy... then you realize that there are LEGIONS of people who not only believe it... they preach it. It led me to wonder, “What do they know that we don’t?” For weeks I was consumed... The more I read, the more I wanted to know.
Q: How do you think your audience is going to react to this new kind of horror?
Darren: I am a horror fan, FIRST and FOREMOST... a director second. I always approach my work as: “What do I want to see?” [and] “What is it I WANT as a horror fan?” Two of my favorite horror films were Rosemary’s Baby and The Tenant. They were just... unnerving. I am hoping that 11-11-11 has the same type of feel... I am not really interested in the IN YOUR FACE blood and GUTS I used to be in... I want to challenge myself to do something different. I want this movie to be truly frightening as it’s all based on faith, and people’s beliefs.
