Catherine Zeta-Jones is playing Morticia in the Tim Burton’s Addams Family Netflix “Wednesday” series spinoff!

The wait is finally over, as it has been announced that acclaimed Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones will play "Morticia" in the Netflix spinoff of Tim Burton's Addams Family, Wednesday.
Jones will join Jenna Ortega and Luiz Guzman in the previously announced roles of "Wednesday" and "Gomez." For the forthcoming Wednesday Series, Zeta-Jones has clearly secured a pretty sweet deal. Audiences do not need to be fazed when it comes to Tim Burton, and they should anticipate to be shocked by the series' expected superb directing.
“Wednesday,” which acquired an eight-episode order from Netflix in February, is billed as a supernaturally tinged mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Morticia is an evocative character in addition to being the matron figure. Anjelica Houston's portrayal of Mortricia in The Addams Family (1991) is soft-spoken, seductive, friendly, and affectionate. She is the one who calms Gomez when he is at his worst, and she shows her love for her family by confronting Fester when he evicts them from their manor.
Tim Burton stands out in the crowd for his fantasy and grim film noir. Each of which never ceases to send shockwaves through its never thought before mind-blowing cycle of creative works.

Zeta-Jones is an influential actress who is a recipient of several accolades namely Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Tony Award and an award from the Screen Actors Guild. Distinctively, her nature of supporting humanitarian efforts and film led to her achieving the Commander of the Order in 2010. As of lately, she has been working on several TV Series which includes ``Feud: Bette and Joan” for FX, “Queen America” on Facebook Watch and “Prodigal Son” at Fox. "Traffic," "Chicago", “The Mask of Zorro,” “Entrapment,” and “Ocean's 12” are just a few of her plethora of notable works.

“Wednesday'' was constructed by Al Gough and Miles Millar, who will also serve as showrunners and executive producers.Tim Burton will direct and executive produce the film.Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman for 1.21, Kevin Miserocchi of the Tee and Charles Addams Foundation, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania, and Gail Berman are the other executive producers. The 2019 animated “Addams Family '' film was executive produced by Mittman, Berman, and Miserocchi, with Glickman serving as an executive producer on the anticipated sequel. MGM Television will produce the series.
