Vaccinated-only Halls: A Safe Cinematic Experience

Miss going to the movies with your family and friends? Longing for yummy popcorn that can only be found at the cinemas? You know the one.

If your answer is yes then we’ve got good news for you – Local cinema chains are now providing halls for fully vaccinated patrons!

What does that mean?

From 10 Aug 2021 onwards, members of the public who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after 2nd dose) can book tickets for movie screenings in Vaccinated-only Halls!

Patrons who do not meet the criteria above may produce a valid document with negative COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test results to attend these screenings. But do note that this clause is subject to the approval of the respective cinema chains.

Also, consumption of F&B within Vaccinated-only Halls is allowed!

Great news for all you hungry snackers! We all know a movie-going experience isn’t complete without a tub of cinema popcorn. This is important because F&B consumption is still prohibited in regular halls.

Bear in mind that masks are still to be worn at all times while safe-distancing practices are still in effect via alternate seating.

A maximum of 5 people per group are allowed in the Vaccinated-only Halls but alternative seating is still in effect so while you're allowed to go out in a group, it doesn't necessarily mean everyone can sit together. And if you're not consuming any food and beverages, you are to keep your masks on at all times.

Make sure to look out for labels indicating that the hall you’re booking for is marked for the Vaccinated-Only. You'll need to verify that you and your friends/family are FULLY vaccinated (14 days after 2nd dose) with the approved vaccines or hold a valid negative Pre-Event Testing (PET) in the last 24 hours, and have not travelled in the last 14 days.
