Watching it again now, after 20 years, there were plenty of scenes that made me cringe, like, ‘What was I thinking when I directed this?’. But the revelation scene is still as powerful as ever. It reminds me why, even after two decades, this movie remains in the memories of so many. SHUTTER was everything to me. The process of making this film was incredibly challenging, and it taught me that success doesn’t come easily. I had to work tirelessly, meticulously searching for the best ideas. This experience instilled in me a deep seriousness about idea generation and the crafting process at every stage of filmmaking.
