Local Sci-Fi Comedy 'We Can Save The World' is officially in cinemas!

We Can Save The World!!! finally hits Shaw, Golden Village, and EagleWings cinemas after facing major uncertainty with its release!

With indie cinema The Projector and Cathay Cineplexes announcing their closure, the future of cinema in Singapore has been not been looking encouraging, especially not for the team behind We Can Save The World!!!, considering both cinema chains were potential partners in keeping the film on the big screen.

Despite the setbacks, writer-director Cheng Chai Hong along with producers Martin Loh, Tan Jia Min, and Lee Yi Jia, and the rest of the crew, persevered tirelessly behind the scenes to get their film off the ground.

We Can Save The World!!! is currently screening from 18 – 24 September at Shaw NEX, Shaw Waterway Point, Shaw Lot One, Golden Village Yishun, Golden Village Cineleisure, and EagleWings Cinematics at King Albert Park Mall, with potential for additional showtimes depending on ticket sales.

Those who want to see more of our movie, who want to see Singapore cinema and local films thrive, can purchase their tickets and talk about the film with their friends, family, or anyone at all.

The outpouring of support has been heartening, so we hope people will buy tickets and actually watch our film, a love letter to Singapore that lets people laugh.

Disillusioned government worker, Ryan (Noah Yap), is stuck in a soulless job at the local town council. While tracking down a missing recycling bin, he encounters a homeless man, Peng (Jun Vinh Teoh), who claims to be an extraterrestrial.

As Ryan begrudgingly teams up with Peng to hunt for the latter's doomsday device, they embark on a madcap adventure through Singapore: running into a rabid doomsday cult hot on their heels, meeting an enigmatic anti-cult cult leader (Fauzi Azzhar), dodging top-secret government agents (Xuan Ong and Daisy Irani Subaiah), yet finding surprising allies who join their cause.

Sometimes by simply helping the person next to you — even if they are a crazy-looking homeless man who's really an alien — you can Save The World!!!
