Japanese Film Festival Returns to Golden Village and AFA This Month!

By Riin  /  01 Oct 2025 (Wednesday)

For over four decades, Japanese Film Festival (JFF) has served as a gateway into the wondrous world of Japanese cinema and culture, with an exceptional showcase of over 19 titles, including Angel's Egg (1985), Ghost in The Shell (1995), Seven Samurai (1954), Renoir (2025) and The Friends (1994).

Curated with the hope that film can spark curiosity and deepen awareness of Japan’s rich traditions and contemporary expressions, JFF presents both timeless classics and fresh new voices from Japan’s film industry.

This year, JFF proudly celebrates their 42nd anniversary in Singapore with a diverse line up that showcases uniquely charming, powerful, unsettling, and intimate stories of human relationships and lived experiences.

Japanese Film Festival Showcase

The festival is ongoing from today till 12 October, at Golden Village, Suntec City and Asian Film Archive, Oldham Theatre.

More information can be found here:
