'Ah Boys To Men 2' crosses S$1.5 million mark in its opening week!

Singapore, 4th February 2013 – Following the success of Ah Boys To Men, the highly anticipated sequel Ah Boys To Men 2 topped the weekend box office chart after collecting $1,511,479 over the 4-day opening weekend (31st January to 3rd February) with a total of 44 screens island-wide!

The spectacular opening weekend result also sees Ah Boys To Men 2 surpassing its predecessor (Ah Boys To Men) as the biggest opening weekend ever for a local movie in Singapore!

The producers and director Jack Neo 梁智强 are very pleased with the box office results. Director Jack Neo commented, “I am very overwhelmed and encouraged by the results. Again, I really want to thank the audiences who supported Ah Boys To Men. We hope that the incredible results will continue to hold over the upcoming Chinese New Year long weekend.”

The first movie grossed a total of S$6.21 million throughout its 13 week theatrical release, which sets the record as the all time best selling local movie.

The recruits from Ah Boys To Men went to several places (Plaza Singapura, Chinatown Point) over the weekend to promote Ah Boys To Men 2 and their first EP (extended play) consisting of 4 tracks:
